MYO would like to recognize and publicly thank the Freeport Community Concert Association for their generous donation of $5,500 to support talented MYO and Freeport students with tuition scholarships and two senior scholarships worth $1,000 to seniors majoring in music at a college level in Fall 2020.

Brian Johnston is an alumnus of The Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York (Suffolk Principal Orchestra, 2010-2011). From Long Island NY, Neil Miller is a second year Masters student at the Eastman School of Music majoring in viola performance. He also attended Eastman as an undergraduate and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance. MYO Mourns the Loss of Alumnus Joseph Ferriso
MYO mourns the loss of Joseph Ferriso, Nassau Principal Orchestra horn player, class of 2013. Joseph passed away on Saturday, January 3 from injuries sustained in a car accident. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends.
