MYO Performs the National Anthem
Our MYO ensembles are having a wonderful time performing the National Anthem for the Long Island Ducks (Suffolk Principal Orchestra on 9/19), the Stony Brook Seawolves (Suffolk Youth Chorale on 10/11), and for the Islanders at Nassau Coliseum (Treble Choirs on 10/25). Looking forward to more anthem performances for the Islanders in January and March and for the NY Mets in May and June. Check out our In the Community page for more details and event pictures!
MYO T-Shirt 2014-2015 Contest Winner
We're thrilled to announce the winner of our 2014-2015 MYO T-shirt Contest, Robin Shum! Robin is an oboe player in the Nassau Principal Orchestra, and her Andy Warhol-inspired design will be featured on our official season shirts, which will be given to all current members at rehearsals later this fall. Thank you to everyone who submitted designs, and we look forward to seeing you wear your MYO colors this season!
New MYO Choirs in 2014-2015!
The Nassau Youth Chorale will be divided into two new choirs for the 2014-2015 season: the Nassau Symphonic Choir with Louise O'Hanlon, and the Nassau Chamber Chorale with Edward Norris.
